Winter Hike & Hot Cocoa Saturday, January 12 @ 9:30 am to 11 am –
Member, Dr. Jim Tomko will lead us in a winter hike to explore the terrain around the nature center. Dr. Tomko will help us to identify any woodland animals that we might see, their tracks and any wintering birds that we might come across! We have two new bird feeders that can be observed from the nature center, come see if you can identify our birds. We will be enjoying hot cocoa at the nature center afterwards. Remember to dress for the weather and wear your boots. Please email kpease1@aol.com or phone to register for this program.

Endangered Birds Festival – Presented by Local Girl Scout Deanna Wolford
Deanna is working on her Girl Scout Gold Award Project and has planned a program to teach children and adults about local and endangered birds. Come join her in making birdhouses, feeders, nesting bags and window decorations. Also, get a coupon for a free native tree to help restore our natural habitat. The program will be held indoors, but please dress for the weather (boots) as there is a short walk from the parking lot. Please email kpease1@aol.com or phone early to register for this program so Deanna can make sure she has enough supplies.
