So there hasn’t been much going on at oliveaurora lately has there? After a huge increase in interest and visits during the school levy campaigns, i have become apathetic. How Aurora-ish of me!
Additionally, I do not want to engage in legal battles to operate this blog. And I don’t want to be personally blamed for what other people write. I also saw some readers go after another reader, anonymity allowed the freedom for some to turn into A#1 jerks. I think this blog could be useful and entertaining but I don’t know if it is worth it.
So feel free to comment on this or do it elsewhere. I don’t care.
There has not been alot of participents in this blog, including me up until now. This is a great way to communicate with each other in this city and I am surprised not many do. This blog is useful, entertaining, educational and alot more. I hope more people care about it and keep it going. And Yea there are A#1 jerks in every aspect of life what can you do- “They know who they are”
I, for one, enjoy this site…but let’s face facts here.
We only have 3 months of decent weather around here, is it a crime to say goodbye to the computer for a while and head outside and live like normal people?
We both happen to be Young Professionals that are strong supporters of, not only the community of Cleveland, but the community of Aurora.
This is because the city of Aurora is where (after much thought) we decided to buy our first home. We love living here for several reasons — whether it be SAFETY, centralized location (to downtown, our families, our jobs, our church, etc.), the development of fine cuisine and wine bars (ie – Cafe Tuscano, Christopher’s, Thorn Creek Winery, James Place, MOB Bar, etc.), maintaining the high standards of Aurora City Schools (we voted “yes” both times), and of course being the #1 fans of Heinen’s that we are ;)
Most importantly, we are supporters that have become bloggers (for nearly 3 yrs), so we strongly support you and your blog. Please (for the sake of our community) continue to post, promote, and challenge*
Summertime has lots of opportunities so get outside and enjoy. But come back with guns blazing in september.
Thank you Olive? I just came acroos this site today. I think it could be a site I use regularly. As a matter of fact, I found it searching for information regarding the Aurora Rotary CLub. I want to start an Aurora Farmers market and am organizing a group of like minded Aurorans to begin the process of forming a committee to take on this task. I spoke with Jim Kraus at Parks and Rec and he seems to be optimistic for next summer. I am currently the Hudson farmers market manager.
my email is geneshimandle@gmail.com for any interest in a local farmers market or feel free to call me 330-995-0279 tell your friends whom might have an interest in great farm fresh produce to contact me.
