I’ll have to say som of my most memorable meals are at Reggie’s. We tend to go there with family groups. The lasagne is fantastic.
Also if you got the dough go to The Lepoard, fantastic.
What this town needs is a breakfast place- eggs and bacon
The restaurant selection in this town leave a lot to be desired. There are quite a few that aren’t priced for casual dining (Gregory’s, Christophers, Leopard, even Paws). And the others… well, there are a lot of pizza choices!
Doogans – a rip off of the Winking Lizard, and more expensive. And the one time we tried it the food that I received was different that what was described in the menu.
I do need to try Reggie’s. Have heard good things. I just can’t get over the appearance of it.
What this town needs is a breakfast place- eggs and bacon……. try smittys. great food, horrible service but cheapest prices in town
I always thought a nice place would be next to the movie theater where the old CVS use to be. Aurora could use a nice sports bar that isn\’t run down like papous, but where the family can enjoy and also eat a nice meal. Kind of like a champs type place. Also how huge would a CHIPOTLE be in Aurora?
that space is going to be a Dollar Tree store.
Isn’t that great?
oh no… i don’t like that at all… i give it 6 months before it closes down.
Yes! Dollar Tree would be wonderful! I know alot of these yuppies in this town won’t like it, but there’s alot of REAL, NORMAL people left in this town, and we aren’t going to let the yuppies of Barrington, Lakes of Aurora, and all the other yuppiehoods take over Aurora.
If all the “real, normal people” would like a dollar store why didn’t they support the one that was in Barrington several years ago? That one went under.
I couldn’t care less about dollar store or no dollar store. I’m just glad that the vacancy is FINALLY being filled there.
I would’ve loved a Yours Truly in that plaza though.
I think Aurora needs a restaurant like an Einstein Bagels or a Yours Truly those would be wonderful choices. I also think that they should make Geauga Lake Park an indoor water park like Kalahari. One side of the park would be the outside water park and the other an indoor park.
James Place is a surprising little gem that reminds me of the smooth and hip “That Place on Bellflower” on University Circle.
It is way too easy to sip a glass of wine and eat the entire cheese and fruit tray, all while being ensconced in the red and gold walls bearing beautiful art.
My husband and I have missed every movie we planned to see “after a little stop at James place”!
Menu picks: this is an all appetizer menu; the white pizza was inhaled by my husband, and I’m afraid I have more than my fair share of the Silver Creek Cheese Tray for 4.
James is the charming and attentive bartender, as well as the owner; two exotic waitresses add more flair to the ambiance.
I think your missing out if you havent Tried Mannequin Odd Bar and Bistro. Great food decent prices amazing atmosphere
I think Olive needs to sample the food and write a review. Steve?
You can’t forget Guys Pizza (across from the drive thru on E. Garfield). They have only been in town for a couple of years, but I think that it is the best pizza in Aurora by far… especially for the price. They are running a special right now for a large pizza with 1 topping for only $8. You should give it a try.
